Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists begins clinic expansion — 4 insights

Green Bay, Wis.-based Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Specialists is breaking ground on its Green Bay clinic expansion Oct. 9.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The 13,000-square-foot expansion will include two new operating rooms in the surgery center, as well as an additional three overnight stay rooms, 10 orthopedic patient exam rooms, one procedure room and three cast rooms. The radiology and lab areas will also be expanded.

2. The expansion project is expected to take a year.

3. OSMS offers outpatient surgery at Bellevue, Wis.-based Bellin Orthopedic Surgery Center inside the Green Bay OSMS building through a partnership with Green Bay-based Bellin Health.

4. OSMS is a physician-owned practice with two Wisconsin clinics, as well as offices throughout northeast Wisconsin and northern Michigan. The Green Bay clinic undergoing expansion opened in 2010.

“Being the only outpatient orthopedic surgery center in the greater Green Bay area, we are able to provide a higher quality of orthopedic care at a lower cost to our patients. This expansion showcases the community’s demand for our services,” said OSMS CEO Sandy Fragale.
