Ophthalmology Limited has expanded its Eye Surgery Center in Sioux Falls, S.D., adding operating room capacity and two new specialty services.
The ASC now has four operating rooms, along with additional pre- and post-operative recovery space, private patient bays and enhanced waiting areas, according to a Sept. 10 report from Midwest Medical Edition.
Ophthalmology Limited also added neuro-ophthalmology and adult strabismus as new specialty services. Neuro-ophthalmology covers diagnosis and treatment of complex conditions involving the optic nerves, brain and eye-related vision problems. Adult strabismus care treats eye muscle disorders in adult patients.
The practice will host an open house Sept. 18 at the Eye Surgery Center. Attendees can tour the facility, meet the care team and learn more about the expanded services; refreshments will be provided.The expansion gives Ophthalmology Limited more capacity to treat complex eye conditions as the Sioux Falls-area practice grows its surgical and subspecialty offerings.
