NYU Langone Hospitals has filed a certificate of need for a freestanding ASC in West Harrison, N.Y., according to a July 15 report from Westfair Business Journal

The facility would focus on orthopedic services and be established in a currently unoccupied space of an office building.

The organization proposed a 15,071 square foot ASC and estimated the total cost of the facility to be $38,435,000.

In the first year, the center would have 47 employees and grow to 65 in its third year of operation.

The Harrison Planning Board is expected to review the proposal at its July 22 meeting, the report said.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
