Northwell Health opens $3M breast & lymphatic surgery center: 3 things to know

The Gerald J. Friedman Center for Breast and Lymphatic Surgery opened in Great Neck, N.Y., according to Newsday.

Three things to know:

1. The 4,600-square-foot surgery center was built by New York City-based Northwell Health at a cost of $3 million. Physicians at the center have been seeing patients since late February.

2. The center is for breast cancer patients and those at high risk for developing breast cancer.

3. Five breast reconstruction surgeons practice at the center.
