Indiana hospital anchoring 500-plus acre development — 3 insights

Franciscan Health Crown Point (Ind.) will be at the center of a 500-plus acre development in Crown Point, HCD Magazine reports.

What you should know:

1. Franciscan Health is building a regional medical center in Crown Point.

2. The medical center will be complemented by an expanded University of Saint Francis campus and an expanded Franciscan Point orthopedic ASC.

3. In addition to the medical and academic institutions, 250 acres of the development are zoned for residential purposes and 80 are zoned for commercial use. The development could also house a house school.
