What you should know:
1. The state will have a hearing in late December to determine if it’ll grant the health system’s proposed certificate of need.
2. Northside wants to build a 22,500-square-foot facility with three operating rooms and one endoscopy room.
3. The ASC would offer orthopedic, urology, gastroenterology, neurosurgery and general surgery services.
4. The state already approved a CON for an ASC in Braselton owned by Gainesville-based Northeast Georgia Health System. That ASC will have four operating rooms and two procedure rooms and will be on the campus of Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Braselton.
