Covenant will merge its Los Angeles-based St. Vincent Eye Surgery Center, with which it has been partnered for a decade, according to a June 6 news release.

The Wilshire Center has two operating rooms, which will be served by 17 surgeons following the merger.

Covenant now has nine ASCs and seven physician practice locations in the state, the release said.

Covenant is the ninth-largest ASC chain based on its number of surgery centers and the fifth-largest chain based on its number of operating rooms.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
