Here’s what you should know:

1. The $12 million medical facility will be built on 8.6 acres of land.

2. The facility will offer primary care, pediatric care and urgent care services.

3. Conway Medical Center is also seeking approval to have a surgery center in the facility.

“That will provide a cheaper, more convenient opportunity for those patients that do need surgery in that community, rather than a typical setting in a hospital,” said Conway Medical Center CEO Bret Barr.

4. The facility will not be a full hospital, according to Mr. Barr. He said a full hospital would be too expensive and raise costs for patients.

5. Conway Medical Center aims to complete the medical facility by March 2019.
