Baptist Health cuts ribbon on new ASC

Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new ASC in Lexington, Ky., Baptist Health Hamburg, according to an April 20 report from ABC affiliate WTVQ.

The ASC is one facet of Baptist Health’s new outpatient medical center, which also includes an emergency department, cancer center, specialty care and multistory physician office complex. 

The emergency department will open to patients April 27, while the other services will open their doors later in the week. 

Construction on the facility began in 2020 and was set to open its doors in April 2024. Upon complete opening, the facility is expected to have 300 employees and eventually expand to 600.
