The ASU is under construction in renovated space that formerly housed operating rooms. It’s expected to open to patients soon, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 21.

The unit is intended for patients getting surgery that doesn’t require an overnight stay. It will feature a new MRI suite.

Adirondack Health is headquartered in Saranac Lake.
