Here are six hospitals and health systems that opened or announced ASCs over the past month:

A five-story Penn Highlands DuBois West Wing annex is the first project in Penn Highlands Healthcare‘s plan and will include a new ASC with its own recovery area, pre and postsurgery area and operating rooms.

Clifton Park, N.Y.-based Ellis Medicine received state approval for its $13.64 million, 40,000-square-foot surgical center.

Cleveland Clinic opened its Coral Springs (Fla.) Family Health System, which features an outpatient surgery center as well as endoscopy suites, July 1.

Andover-based Kansas Medical Center will build a 13,000-square-foot ASC to expand its outpatient surgical presence.

Construction on Orlando Health‘s new $42 million medical pavilion with an ASC in Lake Mary, Fla., is set to begin this fall.

The new owners of the shuttered Los Angeles-based Pacific Alliance Medical Center will convert the site into a facility dubbed “Allied Healthcare City.” It is expected to open with an ASC by the end of the summer in Los Angeles.
