The Georgia Senate passed a bill that would require cosmetic surgery centers to adhere to a set of rules and regulations, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

After Christopher Holden's resignation, Envision Healthcare tapped James Rechtin — the president of OptumCare — to take over as president and CEO.

Ophthalmologist Alison Zambelli, MD, plans to begin operating in Beaver Valley ASC later this year, according to The Times.

Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis Children's Hospital opened its new surgery center in January and is now seeking a naming rights-level donor for the center, the Sacramento Business Journal reports.

Patrick Rohan was named CEO of Medical City Frisco (Texas), which is undertaking a $54 million medical office building and ASC project, according to the Frisco Enterprise.

In January, Eric Evans succeeded Wayne DeVeydt as CEO of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners, a healthcare services company that owns and operates more than 180 locations in 32 states.
