New Jersey AASC elects new board members

The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers has announced that two new members have been elected to its board of directors.

According to an emailed statement shared with Becker’s, Trina Brinkley, RN, administrator of Freehold (N.J) Endoscopy Associates, and Marjorie Reiter, administrator of Surgery Center of Central New Jersey, are the newly elected board members. 

The Ms. Brinkley and Ms. Reiter will fill two seats by board members no longer able to serve their terms. Ms. Brinkley will serve the remainder of a two-year term, while Ms. Reiter will serve the remainder of a one-year term. 

Additionally, The NJAASC announced the election of several other board members, including:

  • Meg Stagliano, RN, senior vice president of ambulatory surgery at RWJBarnabas Health, NJAASC Board President, (elected for a second term as board president)
  • Trina Brinkley, RN, administrator of Freehold Endoscopy Associates, NJAASC Board Treasurer
  • Sheila McAteer-Sturek, RN, associate vice president of ambulatory development and operations at Virtua Health (elected for a second term)
  • Aaron Shechter CEO/administrator of Hackensack (N.J) Endoscopy Center, Endoscopy Center of Bergen County (elected for a second term)
