HCA’s leadership shakeup: 4 recent moves

Since Oct. 1, four leaders have either joined or departed Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare:

1. Jacob Wiesmann was named divisional CFO at Cambridge, Mass.-based Beth Israel Lahey Health. Prior to his new role, Mr. Wiesmann served as a market CFO for HCA Healthcare.

2. Heart Hospital of Austin (Texas), part of St. David’s HealthCare, appointed Matthew Bursley CFO. Before joining St. David’s, Mr. Bursley served as market controller for HCA Healthcare’s North Carolina Division in Asheville.

3. Hermitage, Tenn.-based TriStar Summit Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, named Lauren Sligh CFO. In the role, Ms. Sligh will oversee the financial operations of the 234-bed hospital and TriStar Mt. Juliet (Tenn.) ER.

4. HCA Midwest Health named Lowell Ebersole, DO, chief medical officer of Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. Dr. Ebersole joins Research Medical Center — a 590-bed level 1 trauma center – from Wesley Healthcare in Wichita, Kan., which is also an HCA affiliate.
