What you should know:

1. Dr. Smith's appointment is indicative of how the company views clinicians "at this pivotal time of transformation for our country's healthcare system and for our company," said Envision CEO and President Christopher Holden.

2. Dr. Smith joined Envision in 2015 as a member of Scottsdale (Ariz.) Emergency Associates. He led Envision's emergency medicine, hospitalist and critical care services lines since 2017.
