ASC leader to know: Dr. Michael Perry of Laser Spine Institute

Michael Perry, MD, is the chief medical officer and co-founder of Tampa-based Laser Spine Institute. Under Dr. Perry’s leadership, he helped expand the company from three physicians and nine employees to a company with 1,200-plus team members.

A member of the American Medical Association and American College of Sports Medicine, Dr. Perry serves on the North American Spine Society’s value committee.

He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Perry completed his residency at Hartford, Conn.-based Mount Sinai Hospital.
