5 leadership moves for ASCs to know

Here are five recent leadership moves for ASCs to know:

1. Patrick Conway, MD, CEO of Optum Rx, was named CEO of Optum, the healthcare services arm of UnitedHealth Group and parent company of ASC chain SCA Health.

2. Raleigh, N.C.-based Compass Surgical Partners named Mark Langston as its new chief development officer. 

3. CVS Health shared key leadership changes, appointing Brian Newman as CFO and Amy Compton-Phillips, MD, as executive vice president and chief medical officer.

4. Matt Stone was named CEO of Dallas-based United Surgical Partners International. According to his LinkedIn profile, Mr. Stone previously served as the Group CEO of Central, South and West Texas for USPI’s parent company Tenet.

5. Michelle Soto, MD, was appointed as medical director of ambulator care at NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx in New York City.
