From heads of specialty societies to leaders in marketing, here are five recent leadership appointments in the ASC space:
1. Plano, Texas-based Legent Health has named Brad Stoltz as chief operating officer. Mr. Stoltz will oversee operations for all surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers aligned with Legent Health, along with several corporate functions and consolidated services.
2. VisionMed appointed Tony Burns as strategic advisor for ambulatory and office-based surgery. Mr. Burns brings more than three decades of experience in ambulatory surgery centers and office-based procedural environments.
3. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare named Cynthia Cifuentes-Finkel senior vice president of marketing and corporate affairs, effective June 8, 2026.
4. The American Surgical Association named B. Mark Evers, MD, as president-elect. Dr. Evers will serve as president-elect in 2026-27 before assuming the presidency in 2027-28. He was elected at the organization’s 146th annual meeting in Seattle in April.
5. The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions named J. Dawn Abbott, MD, as president for 2026–27.
