Allergan's COO Robert Stewart resigned from the company to become president and CEO of Amneal Pharmaceuticals starting Jan. 25, 2018, Orange County Business Journal reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. Allergan appointed Wayne Swanton, the company's vice president of global operations, its new COO.
2. Mr. Stewart will oversee Amneal and its pending merger with Impax Laboratories. The acquisition will close in the first half of 2018.
3. Mr. Stewart will also join the resulting combined company's new board.
4. Allergan's CFO Teresa Hilado also recently announced her plans to retire. She's staying with Allergan until a successor is found.
