1. Before beginning their terms, the newly appointed leaders will spend one year learning about the various aspects of the organization.
2. Dr. Malanga is a nonsurgical orthopedic specialist, specializing in musculoskeletal disorders. He co-authored two textbooks and is a contributor to SpineUniverse.com.
3. Dr. Desai is a musculoskeletal interventional radiologist and the founder of Restore PDC Interventional Spine & Sports Medicine in Beaverton, Ore.
