How disengaged employees hurt an ASC's bottom line — 3 takeaways

The Baird Group's Kristin Baird leads workshops for ASC leaders on coaching and engagement skills.

Three takeaways she shared on the consulting firm's website:

1. Disengaged employees have a significant financial impact on an ASC's business. They erode morale and contribute to the turnover of high-performing staff.

2. To tackle the problem, ASC managers should first try coaching and guiding disengaged employees. They can also try reprimanding employees.

3. If all else fails, ASC managers should let disengaged employees go. Ms. Baird said parting ways with those employees helps "free up some futures."
