HCA Houston Healthcare appoints Evan Ray to executive role — 3 highlights

HCA Houston Healthcare tapped Evan Ray as executive vice president and chief administrative officer.

Three highlights:

1. Mr. Ray assumed the role April 1. He is charged with expanding HCA Houston Healthcare’s footprint through network access, regional outreach, hospital operation and strategic planning efforts.

2. Mr. Ray comes from St. Vincent’s Health System, where he started his career in 2012. He was most recently president of St. Vincent’s Birmingham and St. Vincent’s Chilton hospitals in Alabama.

3. HCA Houston Healthcare operates 15 hospitals, nine outpatient surgery centers, eight freestanding emergency centers and 11 freestanding diagnostic imaging facilities in the Houston area.
