Florida governor signs healthcare bill at CenterOne Surgery Center

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a health insurance bill into law at Jacksonville, Fla.-based CenterOne Surgery Center, local news affiliate Fox 35 reports.

The bill allows the state to renegotiate state employees' health insurance contracts beginning in 2023. The bill also requires the state to implement a prescription-drug formulary to identify high-value prescriptions, and establishes the Patient Savings Act, which will reward consumers for shopping around for healthcare services.

Mr. DeSantis had a past rotator cuff surgery at CenterOne Surgery Center.
