ASC leader to know: Dr. Joseph Barrows of DISC Sports & Spine

An anesthesiologist by training, Joseph Barrows, MD, is the medical director of Newport Beach, Calif.-based DISC Surgery Center. He is dedicated to eliminating post-operative nausea and vomiting for his patients. Dr. Barrow’s treatments have prevented post-operative nausea and vomiting in 95 percent of DISC patients.

Dr. Barrow has been a DISC team member since 2011. He earned his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in the Netherlands and is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, California Society of Anesthesiologists and American Medical Association.
