9 recent ASC executive moves — HCA, Optum & more

9 executives assumed new positions recently:

1. Digital healthcare partner ValueHealth hired Elizabeth Jaekle as its Mid-Atlantic regional president. Ms. Jaekle's responsibilities will include leading the company's growth in the region, expanding the orthopedic and ASC practice models and assisting in the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care.

2. ASC developer Shields Health Care Group has appointed Peter Ferrari as the company's new president. Mr. Ferrari joined Shields in 2005, most recently served as Shields' chief strategy officer, and has been instrumental in launching the company's ASC line. Before joining Shields, Mr. Ferrari held leadership positions at Meditech and Winchester Hospital.

3. Charles Gressle became president of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare's East Florida division in Fort Lauderdale Dec. 1.

4. Andrew Witty was promoted to Minnetonka, Minn.-based UnitedHealth Group president Nov. 12. He will continue serving as CEO of Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Optum.

5. Saum Sutaria, MD, is the new president of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare. He will continue serving as COO, a role he assumed earlier this year.

6. Regina Nethery joined Tenet in November as vice president of investor relations.

7. ASC management company Regent Surgical Health appointed Beth Johnson, RN, to serve as senior vice president, and

8. Regent also named Alexandra Reyes vice president of operations for the Northeast region.

9. Lastly, Regent  promoted Erin Petrie to vice president of Regent Revenue Cycle Management.
