WVU Medicine to postpone elective GI procedures, surgeries until May

 
WVU Medicine in Morgantown, W.Va., is postponing elective and nonemergent surgeries and gastroenterology procedures from March 18 to May 15, according to local CBS affiliate WDTV.

The health system came to the decision after recommendations from the U.S. surgeon general and medical societies. WVU Medicine also is restricting visitors to all its facilities.
