The $1.5 million, five-year grant will support the researchers’ efforts to examine the role of an inflammation-causing protein — interleukin-8 — in colon cancer development.
The principal investigator is Emina Huang, MD, a colorectal surgeon and an associate professor in the UF College of Medicine’s department of surgery.
