Here are the major features of these two components:
The PatientINFO Center is a digital library of patient education materials, which gastroenterologists can share with their patients. The texts – which span 25 GI-related topics – were reviewed by gastroenterology and hepatology experts, to ensure patients have medically accurate information about their condition. Texts are written at a low reading level and are available in both English and Spanish.
The MyGiHealth web and mobile app was built by GI doctors to help patients and physicians prepare prior to a patient visit. It includes questionnaires about GI symptoms and other illness history, to be completed before a medical consultation. MyGiHealth says its app has led to more accurate and complete medical histories, which has resulted in earlier detection of serious diseases.
