Here’s what you should know:
1. The headquarters will serve as the main office for Takeda’s worldwide operations.
2. Takeda CEO and President Christophe Weber said the global headquarters will serve as a space for Takeda’s 30,000 employees to “connect, collaborate, learn and share.”
3. Takeda’s Head of Corporate Strategy and the CEO Office Yasuhiro Fukutomi managed the development of the headquarters. Mr. Sato said the headquarters reflects Takeda’s values and was designed with eight motifs in mind, including life, water, light, earth and tree in mind.
4. According to a release, the new headquarters will allow Takeda to further accelerate its “transformation into becoming a global, values-based [research and development]-driven biopharmaceutical leader.”
