Study: Gastric Bypass Patients Eat Healthier Than Gastric Banding Patients

Researchers in the U.K. have found that patients who have had gastric bypass surgery eat healthier than those who undergo gastric banding surgery, a Reuters Health report said.

After surveying and doing brain scans on patients, Tony Goldstone, MD, Imperial College London and Hammersmith Hospital, and researchers found that gastric bypass patients made healthier food choices, had to restrain themselves less and did less impulsive eating.
