Retired GI physician Dr. Charles Gluck pens play: 4 points

Charles Gluck, MD, a retired gastroenterologist, has penned a play, running from Jan. 28 to Feb. 21, in Boca Raton, Fla., according to a Sun-Sentinel report.

Here are four points:

1. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Gluck performed standup comedy for 12 years.

2. He practiced with Gastroenterology Consultants in Cooper City, Fla., and Hollywood, Fla.

3. He completed his GI fellowship at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Medical Center.

4. He wrote the script and showed it to Avi Hoffman, a theater veteran who is directing and acting in the play.
