The company, Veritract, is developing the Smart Feeding Tube, equipped with a live camera and steering mechanism that enables placement of feeding tubes with much more accuracy than is currently possible.

More than 40,000 feeding tubes are mistakenly placed in patients’ lungs each year, resulting in an estimated 6,000 deaths.
