Phoebe Putney Hospital in Georgia Building Digestive Diseases Center

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga., is starting construction of a $30 million digestive diseases center, according to a report by the Albany Herald.

In opening the center, the hospital plans to recruit at least two or three more gastroenterologists to add to its current complement of seven gastroenterologists.

 

The new building, replacing a small digestive diseases center in the hospital, is expected to be complete in 16 months and will allow room for expansion.
