The company will sell Avantis Medical Systems’ Avantis Third Eye Panoramic Device. The device is a wide-angle visualization tool that attaches to Pentax scopes and provides high-definition, wide-angle visuals. Specifically, the device creates a panoramic video image to help endoscopists see behind folds. The device helps physicians see up to 25 percent more polyps than they would with a standard colonoscope alone.

Pentax Medical’s Americas President and CEO David Woods said, “This is the latest example of our commitment to enabling our customers to meet their Triple Aim objectives.”

The company also inked an agreement with CapsoVision to sell its CapsoCam Plus Capsule Endoscopy product line.

As a result of the agreement, Pentax will be the exclusive U.S. sales agent for the CapsoCam Plus System.

The device provides endoscopists a 360 degree image of the small bowel mucosa.

Mr. Woods said, “We are excited about this collaboration and our ability to place this important innovation in the hands of the GI endoscopist.”
