The University of California San Diego School of Medicine has named Rohit Loomba, MD, its chief of the division of gastroenterology and hepatology, effective June 1. 

Exton, Pa.-based U.S. Digestive Health has added four new medical providers to its growing team, including two physicians and two advanced practice providers. 

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville is the most expensive hospital to receive a colonoscopy in the state, while AdventHealth Heart of Florida in Davenport is the least expensive, according to information from data analytics company Hospital Pricing Specialists.

Marpai, a third-party administrator of employer health plans, has partnered with Oshi Health to provide its plan members access to virtual digestive care.

New York City-based NewYork-Presbyterian was named in a civil lawsuit that alleges Zhi Alan Cheng, MD, a gastroenterologist who previously practiced at the health system's Flushing, N.Y., location, drugged and sexually assaulted a patient. 

Katy, Texas-based Gastro Health & Nutrition is opening its third clinic in Houston, Texas, expanding the success of its Victoria, Texas location.
