A first-of-its-kind gastrointestinal disorder center is being planned on the Mercy Hospital campus in Oklahoma City following a $7.5 million philanthropy gift, according to an Aug. 24 report from The Journal Record.

US Digestive Health has added nine physicians to its network throughout Pennsylvania.

The AdventHealth Center for Interventional Endoscopy is expanding its services from its flagship location, AdventHealth Orlando to AdventHealth Celebration in Kissimmee, Fla.

During the first week of August, the American College of Physicians updated its guidance for colorectal screenings in asymptomatic, average-risk individuals, raising the recommended screening age from 45 to 50. Some experts are not in agreement with the new recommendations.
