Olympus launches Olympus Knowledge Exchange system: 3 points

Olympus launched its Olympus Knowledge Exchange system, a next generation software platform allowing facilities to better document centralized endoscope reprocessing.

Here are three points:

1. Olympus developed the software to assist hospitals in establishing and monitoring quality assurance programs to improve endoscope reprocessing.

2. The software platform is built around standard communication protocols, which provide interoperability with most modern electronic medical records, radiology information systems and picture archiving and communication systems.

3. The platform connects to Olympus devices and EMR systems. For example, the KE system offers connectivity to the Olympus OER-Pro endoscope reprocessor, allowing the documentation of endoscope reprocessing outcomes to be tracked electronically.
