North Carolina physician group building $2.8M gastroenterology facility — 4 insights

Charlotte, N.C.-based Tryon Medical Partners filed a CON application to construct a $2.8 million gastroenterology facility with an outpatient surgery center and four GI endoscopy rooms, the Charlotte Business Journal reports.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The center will be two stories and 30,000 square feet, if approved.

2. Approximately five gastroenterologists and 20 staff members will see patients at the facility.

3. Tryon Medical Partners was part of Atrium Health’s Mecklenburg Medical Group in Charlotte until the groups split earlier this year.

4. The state has until Sept. 1 to make a decision regarding approval.
