NJ administrators expect Allergan to make $385M+ impact over 20 years & more: 4 GI companies in the news

Here are four GI companies in the headlines from the past week.

The Minnesota Safety Council recognized Takeda Pharmaceuticals for excellence in workplace safety. Takeda acquired a facility in Brooklyn Park, Minn., in 2015 and has invested more than $75 million in facility modifications and upgrades. In other news, Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Marvel Custom Solutions revealed the second chapter of The Unbeatables adventures on May 19 for World IBD Day.

United Way of Northern New Jersey recognized Allergan for its positive impact in New Jersey over the last year through its Madison, N.J.-based office. New Jersey state administrators estimate the office and company will contribute more than $385 million in economic value over the next 20 years.

SGS United Kingdom Limited suspended GI Dynamics' EndoBarrier's CE mark over nonconformances related to its quality management system.

The European Medicines Agency's Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use issued a negative opinion of XBiotech's Lead mAb Xilonix, which treats advanced colorectal cancer.
