Dr. Schaus began his career after earning his degree in osteopathic medicine from Westbury-based New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic and his fellowship at Erie, Pa.-based Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He returned to Lake Erie College to earn a master of science in medical education
He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Schaus is an American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy member.
Outside of his practice, he is a Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills fan.
