Here’s what you should know:
1. Jennifer Jeffries is a mother of five. She is also a two-year colon cancer survivor.
2. Ms. Jeffries has Lynch Syndrome, which puts her children at high risk for colon cancer.
3. Because of that the high risk, Ms. Jeffries’ children underwent regular screening for colonoscopy starting at age 20. Two of her sons have undergone colonoscopies and her third has one scheduled for late November.
4. The Jeffries chose the newly opened Silver Cross Endoscopy Center for the procedures. The center has one procedure room and nine preoperative and postoperative suites.
5. Ms. Jeffries opted for the outpatient center because, “[It] isn’t as overwhelming as the hospital setting.”
