Remimazolam is a benzodiazepine-type sedative that was developed using molecular-level techniques. A recent study showed the drug to have a faster onset, more predictable effects and shorter recovery time for patients than other drugs used during colonoscopy.
A study on the drug was published in the most recent issue of Anesthesia & Analgesia.
