National Institute of Diabetes & Digestive & Kidney Diseases Awards Dr. QiQi Zhou $1.7M Grant

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases presented QiQi Zhou, MD, PhD, with a $1.7 million grant, according to a report by Galveston County The Daily News.

Dr. Zhou is an assistant professor of gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Dr. Zhou will conduct research, in collaboration with UTMB director of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Nicholas Verne, MD, on cellular signaling and gene receptors in irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.
