Exact Sciences, the company behind Cologuard, stock has received an average rating of “buy” from 14 analyst firms, according to a Dakota Financial News report.

Gilead Sciences is in the process of evaluating its approved hepatitis C drug Sovaldi used in combination with the experimental NS5A inhibitor velpatasvir. The once-daily, fixed dose combination of drugs is showing promise for treating all forms of hepatitis C.

Modernizing Medicine, the developer of Electronic Medical Assistant, closed a $38 million Series E financing round. The company now has $87 million in capital.

HOYA Group PENTAX Medical acquired an interest in Creo Medical, a U.K.-based electrosurgical energy devices company. PENTAX has identified therapeutic endoscopy devices as a priority for its new investment.

PENTAX Medical released the latest update of its endoPRO iQ, information technology and image management software for endoscopy units.
