The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has recognized gastroenterologist Jeffrey M. Weber, MD.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Weber:

1. His areas of expertise include colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP, inflammatory bowel diseases, and liver diseases.

2. He serves as the chief of medicine and director of gastroenterology and metabolic support services for Cancer Treatment Centers of America at the Goodyear, Ariz.-based Western Regional Medical Center.

3. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

4. He holds memberships with various medical societies, such as the American Medical Association, American Gastroenterological Association and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

5. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wis. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at the Georgetown Division of the District of Columbia General Hospital in Washington, D.C., and his gastroenterology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
