Illinois medical group adds GI, hepatology specialist: 3 things to know

Charmaine Edwards, MD, joined Granite City, Ill.-based Gateway Medical Group, according to AdVantage, a local news source.

Three things to know:

1. Dr. Edwards is a gastroenterology and hepatology specialist. She joined Gateway Medical Group June 15 from Red Bud (Ill.) Regional Hospital.

2. Dr. Edwards will continue practicing at Red Bud Regional, which is Gateway’s sister facility.

3. Earlier in her career, Dr. Edwards served as a community-based provider in Jefferson City, Mo.
