gMed to adopt new ASGE/ACG GI procedure quality indicators

EHR and practice management solutions provider gMed plans to rapidly adopt the new GI procedure quality metrics set by the ASGE/ACG Task Force on Quality in Endoscopy.

“We believe these new measures will help advance the quality agenda and will help gastroenterologists manage patient populations with enhanced metrics. Gastroenterologists who already use gGastro couples with gInsights will be able to access this data retroactively for millions of patient encounters across the nation,” said gMed Vice President of Product Development Sam Rubinsztain.

The new quality metrics apply to all GI endoscopic procedures, EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP and EUS.
