GI Quality Improvement Consortium taps Dr. Glenn Eisen for president seat: 4 key notes

Bethesda, Md.-based GI Quality Improvement Consortium tapped Glenn Eisen, MD, to be its next president and chair of its board of directors.

Here’s what you should know.

1. The consortium is a national endoscopic registry and a clinical benchmarking tool for gastroenterologists. The consortium is a joint venture between the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the ACG.

2. Dr. Eisen is replacing the American College of Gastroenterology’s President-elect Irving Pike, MD.

3. Dr. Eisen served on the board of directors for seven years.

4. Dr. Eisen said, “I am very excited about taking on a new role for GIQuIC. Dr. Irving Pike has done a tremendous job in the creation and development of this leading GI endoscopy registry since its inception in 2009.”
