Dr. Kothari’s research interests include the development of EUS FNA techniques endoscopic ablation and therapy for Barrett’s esophagus as well as the evaluation of new devices and technology in the diagnosis and treatment of biliary and pancreatic diseases. She has won numerous awards over the course of her career, including second prize for a poster presentation on gastric sarcoidosis from the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Kothari earned her medical degree from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai, India. She completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Seton Hall University’s School of Health and Medical Sciences in South Orange, N.J. She has also completed interventional endoscopy training at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, Calif.
