Dr. Ganz has a professional interest in gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett’s esophagus, cancer of the esophagus and peptic ulcer disease. He is also an inventor, who holds 25 patents with several pending. He has co-founded several medical device companies including BARRX Medical, which focuses on the treatment of Barrett’s esophagus and early stage esophageal cancer. He has published more than 100 articles, abstracts and book chapters about digestive diseases.
Dr. Ganz completed his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago. He completed fellowship training in gastroenterology at Northwestern University in Chicago.
